Grant Thornton has appointed Devesh Mehta as partner as part of the Business Risk Services (BRS) team. He has over 18 years’ experience in the financial services industry and has held board level CFO and CAO roles at Nomura International.

Smith & Williamson has promoted Tim Adams, Luke Brooks, Rebecca Shepherd and Chris Springett to partner. Adams is a founding member of the firms Entrepreneurs Group and becomes partner within the assurance and business services division. Brooks specialises in advising partners in law firms, sportspeople and entrepreneurs on their financial planning needs. Shepherd becomes partner of the firm’s investment management and covers the healthcare sector. Springett has been promoted to partner within the private client tax services team and specialises in providing advice to executives.

Mark Wood has been appointed as an associate director in the consulting practice at RSM. He has joined from PwC where he was senior manager within the risk assurance team for 13 years. He has also worked with Deloitte in the public and financial services sectors. At RSM he will enhance the governance and risk consulting service group and will focus on strengthening the service offering to support more clients in the north.

Andrew Harding has been named as chief executive of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). He joined CIMA in 2009 as executive director, becoming managing director two years later. When CIMA joins with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and create a new association in 2017 Harding will be the chief executive of its management accounting unit.

Sage has appointed Blair Crump as president to lead sales and customer success. Crump joins from PROS Holdings, where he held the position of COO since November 2014. Previously, he led Salesforce.com’s Global Enterprise business and was also group president at Verizon Business.

Accountancy firm, Milsted Langdon, has recruited 12 members of staff to meet increased demand in the south west. The firm’s four regional offices have all welcomed new employees, and its corporate finance team has had a major boost with the arrival of senior manager, Juliet Bacon and assistant manager, Stephanie Morgan.

Aberdeen-based accountancy firm, Hall Morrice, has appointed eight members of staff. Aaron Williams has joined Hall Morrice from KPMG UK, and will take up the role of audit and accounts manager, working with clients in a variety of sectors including oil and gas, ICT, retail, and property.
