Albert Goodman has announced that managing partner, Richard Bugler, will be stepping down after serving six years at the helm. He will be replaced by current partner at the firm, Iain McVicar, who will take on the role for the same term starting on 1 May. Under Bugler’s leadership he has exponentially grown the firm year on year, promoted the board of partners to include a 50% female partnership and invested heavily in new premises in Weymouth, Weston-super-Mare and the firm’s headquarters in Taunton. He will remain at Albert Goodman as a partner with a particular focus on the firm’s corporate finance offering.
Tilney Smith & Williamson, the wealth management and professional services group which this week announced that it will re-brand to Evelyn Partners this summer, has announced the appointment of experienced business adviser John O’Callaghan as professional services managing partner – Ireland. He joins Tilney Smith & Williamson from BDO where he has been a partner since 2006. In his new role, O’Callaghan will lead the group’s professional services team in Ireland and focus on growing it through organic growth, strategic hires and acquisitions.
