In this week’s career moves, partner promotions and hires at Monahans, BDO, Dow Schofield Watts, Moore Kingston Smith, Mazars, Armstrong Watson, UHY Hacker Young

Monahans has promoted Clare Bowen to partner. In her new role, Bowen will lead the firm’s business development strategy, as well as focusing on the fee structure, continuing to improve the client experience journey, and developing talent. Previously she was a director and was responsible for developing an onboarding system to improve the end-to-end client experience and lifecycle. She joined the firm in 2016 from McGills where she was an account manager.  

UHY Hacker Young has appointed four partners in London and Nottingham. Nikhil Oza, Rachel Chim and Matthew Granger at the London office and David Allum at the Nottingham office have been promoted from director to partner. Corporate tax specialist Oza has 15 years’ experience with Big Four firms and joined UHY as corporate tax director in 2019. Chim has worked in the business advisory services team since 2006 and has a diverse range of clients in the financial services, property, retail and hospitality sectors. Granger started as a graduate in 2008 and is a partner in the business advisory services team. Allum has 20 years’ experience in the firm’s Nottingham office and specialises in audit and non-audit work for owner managed businesses.
