Charles Roxburgh has been appointed as the Treasury’s new second permanent secretary. He will be responsible for the department’s economics ministry functions. Roxburgh has been director general of financial services since 2013 and takes over from John Kingman who leaves to become the new chair of legal and general.

Grant Thornton has promoted Jake Green, who has worked in their technical practice since 2004, to partner. He is a specialist in consulting and financial reporting and delivers training in this area to the firm's people and its clients. The firm has also promoted Jamie MacKenzie, who works as part of the pensions advisory team, to director. He joined the team in 2008 and specialises in providing covenant advice to both the trustees and corporate sponsors of defined benefit schemes.

Christopher Arnull has been appointed as head of legal and practice protection at BDO. He joins the firm from KPMG where he led the client contracting team.

PwC has appointed Sandra Dowling as UK real estate leader. She succeeds Craig Hughes who has moved to global real estate leader. Dowling started her career with PwC in Canada before moving to the Boston practice before finally relocating to the UK.

Smith & Williamson has appointed Costas Constantinou as a director in its forensic services department. He joins from EY and has over ten years’ experience in valuations.

Anthony Collier has joined FRP Advisory as a partner in the Manchester office. He joins from KPMG bringing with him 15 years of restructuring experience.

Insolvency and restructuring firm, CVR Global LLP, has promoted Elias Paourou from director to partner. He has been at CVR Global for nine years with 26 years of experience in the insolvency profession.
