'In 2014, the important debate about what accounts are for will continue to focus minds. Integrated reporting is also picking up speed – it is on the agenda of the G20 and other bodies such as the United Nations, and it is now featuring in regulators' dialogue.

'A change in culture is required in the minds of all stakeholders. Regulators, preparers and investors have a very important role to play, and they are demonstrating a change in attitude. We are already seeing the moves by some reporters to get rid of boilerplates. Others will follow, but it won't happen overnight.
