Jack Higgins, 38, from Bradford, has been sentenced after conning his insurance company out of £59,987 after he claimed he crashed a rented Range Rover in California in February 2019. He made the claim on an insurance policy which was taken out just one month prior to this and covered him for driving any car globally.

On the fraudulent insurance claim Higgins stated that he had swerved out of the path of an animal and crashed the rented Range Rover into a wall in California. An image was supplied, but he had lifted it from a car auction website in the US.
