Insurance broker jailed for stealing £133k client payments

Kent insurance broker who diverted £133,000 of client money into his own bank account jailed for five years and three months

Leon Price, 45, of Sittingbourne, Kent, appeared at Inner London Crown Court where he was sentenced for misleading customers, falsifying documents, and misdirecting payments intended for legitimate insurance policies.

Price, who worked for Invicta Insurance based in Sevenoaks, Kent, exploited his position as a commercial insurance manager, using insider knowledge to defraud customers.

City of London Police said Price was involved in numerous policies dating back to 2014, but the bulk of his offending was between 2019 and 2022.
