PwC acquires consultancy business

Accounting giant PricewaterhouseCoopers has acquired Paragon Consulting Group, a consultancy business headquartered in London with additional offices across Turkey, Singapore and Dubai. The firm is set to migrate 40 of Paragon's 90 staff to the firm's UK practice, which will now become part of its advisory business. Remaining staff will join the Turkey, Singapore and Dubai offices. 'The economic upheaval in the past year has shown organisations the imperative of having access to the information they need to make business-critical decisions,' said Ashley Unwin, head of consulting at PwC. 'Corporate performance management systems aim to help companies marshall essential information, often from across complex organisations, and access it at short notice. It helps them ensure that they can lead their people and continue to stay ahead in challenging economic times.' Of the 90 staff acquired across the UK, Turkey, Singapore and Dubai, over 40 will be joining the firm's UK practice.
