Stuart Holloway, 49, of Bury, Greater Manchester was a relationship manager with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) specialist Global Restructuring Group (GRG), responsible for supporting business client companies facing financial difficulties.  

Over a five-year period between 2012 and 2016 Holloway stole £274,811 from his business clients. At sentencing the judge Sheriff Walls jailed Holloway for one year and nine months at Edinburgh Sheriff Court after he had admitted two charges under offences under section 2(3) of the Bribery Act 2010.

The court heard that Holloway asked bank customers to make personal payments to himself and family members and in return he would remove the clients’ financial liabilities and business debts with RBS.
