Damage to your reputation can ruin
your career but you can take steps to prevent this, says Mark Freebairn.
Iwrote an article a little while ago relating to the absolute
necessity for CFOs to maintain their reputation for integrity. Unsurprisingly,
it caused a few comments. A number were in agreement. A number were
in panic. What did I mean? How was integrity defined? How could the
situation be rescued if something had happened? A number of people
said, ‘thank you’, because they felt this was a subject
that the finance community really needed to hear about and consider.
So let us revisit the subject.
