Revolut CFO resigns for ‘personal reasons’

The online banking group Revolut’s chief financial officer, Mikko Salovaara, has resigned for ‘personal reasons’ after working at the fintech firm for two years

In a statement, Revolut said that Salovaara had stepped down for personal reasons, having only worked at the bank for two years.

Salovaara, CFO at Revolut, said: ‘I am grateful for the opportunity to have served as group CFO at Revolut and remain confident in the firm’s future success.’

His departure follows several senior resignations last year, some of which included Revolut’s UK chief risk officer, Victoria Stubbs, UK head of regulatory compliance, Justine Wootton, and Matthew Seneviratne, who was the UK money laundering reporting officer.

Revolut stated that Salovaara resigned voluntarily, and his move is unrelated to the concerns flagged in March by its auditor, BDO, about the company’s finances.
