Six-month deadline to resolve banking complaints via BBRS

SMEs with unresolved complaints with their banks are being urged to use the free Business Banking Resolution Service, which covers seven of the largest banking groups

The Business Banking Resolution Service (BBRS) is appealing directly to small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) to check if their unresolved banking disputes can be resolved by using their free services and avoiding costly court proceedings.

The deadline for businesses to register their case after they have been sent a final response letter confirming a referral to the BBRS is six months after receipt.

SMEs who have complained to their business banking provider, but were unsatisfied with the response, may be eligible for further free and independent support through a referral to the BBRS.
