Jackie Hunt, the deputy group finance director of Standard Life, is to act as the insurance giant's interim chief financial officer until a new appointment can be found. The company said it has already started looking for a replacement CFO. Hunt, although involved at board level for meetings, will not be appointed to the board during her time in the role. Originally from South Africa, Hunt qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte there, before moving to its New Zealand practice. Her career has seen her spend time at Big Four firm PricewaterhouseCoopers in its global capital markets group, as well as with Royal & Sun Alliance's capital management team and then Aviva where she was CFO at Norwich Union Insurance. She joined Standard Life at the beginning of 2009.
