Contractual agreement settles Scion

In Kyte v Revenue and Customs Commissioners [2018] EWHC 1146 (Ch) at the High Court, David Mark Kyte appealed a demand for tax after investing in a film scheme.

In the tax year 2007/2008 the claimant invested in a tax mitigation scheme known as Scion Structured Products (the Scion scheme) that involved the purchase of certain rights in the film Frost Nixon, a drama based on an interview of Richard Nixon by David Frost, released in 2008.
