After a hiatus, the decision in the VAT tribunal against Royal Bank of Scotland has been reviewed by the High Court, and the tribunal’s decision has been upheld (Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc v The Commissioners for Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs [2008] UK VAT V20856).
