The UK government yesterday signed a protocol updating its double taxation agreement with Malaysia. The protocol brings it into line with current Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development standards on the exchange of tax information. The protocol will come into force once both countries have completed their legislative procedures. It will then take effect from the next calendar year.
