EU plans one stop shop for trading

The European Commission has announced proposals to streamline trade across the EU in the light of its determination to abandon its earlier aim to introduce an ‘origin’ system to the place of supply of goods and services. This is now replaced officially by an aim to refine the ‘destination’ principle. That is the principle that the tax arises in the member state where the customer belongs.
