Wilkinson: small charity accounts need to be simplified

The independent governance review report into the future of the SORP Committee has been published, so what should we expect next? Of the 36 recommendations raised in the independent report, which followed a nine-month investigation chaired by Professor Gareth Morgan, one of the most striking was that if the suggested reforms are implemented, ‘the SORP will be considerably more effective in future’.
