Andrew Blyth, company director and ACCA chartered accountant, worked for Clockwork Removals and Storage in Edinburgh for over 11 years between March 2014 and December 2025, where he was group finance director until he was dismissed without notice.

The dispute arose after Blyth questioned the size of his bonus, and the owner of the company where he worked was ‘disgruntled’ at the request and sacked the director. Blyth lodged an appeal with the employment tribunal in Scotland for unfair dismissal.

At a three-day hearing in Edinburgh before employment judge McCluskey this August, the tribunal heard the unfair dismissal appeal.
