The alliance will add value to members globally and locally, by sharing knowledge across the sectors the alliance will create a stronger voice for its current 788,000 professional accountants, made up of 308,000 members and 480,000 students across 181 countries.

The alliance aims to increase the profile of both brands; provide access to resources, tools and educational products; work on the development of the profession; provide a dual membership of both bodies and; to further widen access to the profession.

ACCA members resident in Australia and New Zealand will be invited to apply for CA membership and CA ANZ members will be invited to apply for ACCA membership, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria of the other body.

A wider range of products and services will be available to employers through the alliance, as well as current and future members.
