Charity Commission launches amended annual return requirements for 2018

The Charity Commission has made amendments to the content of the annual return for 2018, including dropping proposals for charities to report on their claims for rate relief or gift aid, but has retained a new requirement to report on executive pay.

From 1 January 2018, changes to registered details will no longer be included in the annual return. Instead charities will need to use a new online service to update this information throughout the year as part of the registered particulars so that the register remains accurate.
