The Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) has reached a membership milestone with 8,000 members – its highest ever number of practicing tax advisers and compliance experts
The 8,000th member to join ATT is Elizabeth Ashcroft, a tax specialist at Ashcroft Design & Construction.
Michael Steed, ATT president, said: ‘This is great news because it shows that taxation is an attractive career choice and people want to be part of a community of tax experts.
‘The more members we have the more able we are to pursue our primary charitable objectives to promote education and the study of tax administration and practice.
‘Since our formation in 1989, we have attracted members who work in private practice, commerce and industry, government and academia.’
To become a full member of the association, individual need to pass the ATT’s examinations and obtain two years’ professional experience in tax.
