The online criminals are set to be sentenced in November after pleading guilty to running a subscription service for criminals to hack into bank accounts.

OTP Agency was run by Callum Picari, 22, Vijayasidhurshan Vijayanathan, 21, and Aza Siddeeque, 19. They charged a monthly subscription fee for fraudsters to ‘socially engineer bank account holders into disclosing genuine one time passcodes,’ as well as accessing other personal information used for online banking.

The cheapest package was £30 a week, allowing for multi-factor authentication to be bypassed on specific bank accounts, including Monzo, HSBC and Lloyds.

The ‘elite plan’ cost £380 a week which included access to Visa and Mastercard verification sites.
