We are starting to see a clear trend that many accountants outside the UK who would have applied for jobs in the UK are now holding fire until details of trade details and visa entry systems are clarified over the coming months or even in 2018. 

Data from CareersinAudit.com shows the total UK job applications during the six months after 23 June 2016 has decreased by 18%, compared to the previous six months running up to Brexit. In the meantime, there is evidence that more non-UK auditors and accountants are applying for jobs in Germany, Paris and Dublin because there is much talk of businesses building up their presence here.
