Due to essential IT maintenance, Companies House and HMRC joint filing online services will be unavailable from late evening on 15 April to the end of this weekend
As a result, it will not be possible to file accounts to Companies House using the HMRC joint filing service from 11:59pm on 15 April 2016 to 11:59pm on 17 April 2016.
Company tax returns filed online to HMRC will be unaffected.
By the end of 2016, HMRC’s current free filing service for company tax returns will be replaced with a new online service designed for unrepresented companies with straightforward affairs. This new system will not be available for use by tax agents.
The existing free software with open access can be used until 31 December 2016 to file company tax returns for accounting periods ending on or before 31 December 2015, but not for later accounting periods.
