Users were particularly frustrated with software which they discovered introduced new costs or became more expensive once introductory, discounted offers finished.

The complexity of the pricing models was an issue for some businesses with checking and comparing costs for individual features described as ‘confusing’.

Those who were looking for a full software package with specific features, had difficulty understanding the full cost of packages and comparing features. They would also like to see a comparison site as the HMRC information is simply a list of approved sotware providers.
