Deloitte and Azets go on hiring spree

Deloitte is set to hire more than 6,000 staff in the audit and assurance practice over the next five years, while Azets aims to recruit 900 trainees and qualified accountants

Big Four firm Deloitte is planning to hire from a range of entry-level and experienced backgrounds, with more than half expected to be based outside of London, where they will be trained in a range of areas critical to audit including climate, data, cyber, emerging technologies, and analytics. It aims to hire over 1,200 people every year between 2022 and 2027.

This includes 855 audit and assurance graduates and school leavers in 2022 alone – more than a 30% increase on the previous year.

Top 10 firm Azets plans to add 900 jobs across the UK over the next 12 months. The roles will cover all levels, from associate through to partner, as well as audit and assurance, accounting and advisory business services, corporate finance, tax, and restructuring.
