Deloitte global reports $59bn revenue

The world’s largest accounting network, Deloitte, has reported annual revenue of $59bn (£51bn), up 19.6% year on year from $50.2bn

Consulting revenue grew fastest to $25.8bn, up 24.4%, followed by financial advisory at $5.3bn, which grew 22.1%. Technology, media & telecommunications (TMT) was the fastest growing industry, followed by financial services, which accounted for the largest revenue share at $16.1bn. Among the regions, the Americas grew the fastest at 22.1% to £30.7bn, accounting for half of global revenue, while Europe, Middle East and Africa generated $18.8bn.

Over the year, Deloitte continued to roll out further investment in the audit and assurance (A&A) division, which grew by 8.7% to $11.4bn, stating that it ‘continued its commitment to quality, integrity, and independence in upholding Deloitte’s vital role in the financial reporting ecosystem. Ongoing investments in the development of our A&A practitioners, solutions, and technologies enabled Deloitte to redefine what’s possible in corporate reporting, audit, and assurance’.
