The firm will consider applications from students at any school or university, with any degree discipline, and said it would look for individuals who have gained both work and life experience alongside their academic achievements.

The range of positions offered means a student can start their professional career at Deloitte after their A-levels, without going to university, by getting a place on the BrightStart scheme.

Deloitte talent partner, Fiona Walker, said that the firm will maintain a consistent intake of entry-level recruits this year.

Other positions available include the summer vacation scheme, which is a three-to-six week paid work experience placement with the firm as well as industrial placements for students on a four-year university course who require a six or 12-month placement as part of their degree.

Deloitte also runs a scholar scheme, which offers students the opportunity to take a gap year before university, where they will work at the firm for a percentage of the year and are then given a bursary so they can travel for the remainder of the year. After this, they are given a bursary towards their university fees so that they can complete paid work experience with the firm throughout their course. For top fliers, there is also Graduate programme, available to more than 1,000 high achieving graduates.
