Deloitte revenue falls as partner pay exceeds £1.05m

Amid tough trading conditions, Deloitte reported a 1% drop in UK revenue to £4.88bn but average partner pay was restored at £1.05m despite consulting arm sharply contracting

Revenue was down by a marginal 1% at £4.88bn (FY24: £4.92bn) for the year ended 31 May 2025 for the UK only, compared with growth of 1.7% last year, but strong growth in the tax and legal service lines ensured that Deloitte retained top spot as the largest UK accounting firm.

Despite the dip in fee income and the pressures of a ‘complex market’ leading to job cuts in the advisory division and some restructuring of the business, profit before tax increased by 4% to £771m (FY24: £680m).

This profitability was reflected in the average profit per equity partner of £1.051m, up 4% on the previous year’s £1.012m. But partner pay at Deloitte has still not returned to FY23 levels.
