After leaving university with a degree and PhD in geology, Andrew joined National Grid plc where he held various finance roles primarily involved with capital investment appraisal and pricing.

A qualified management accountant (CIMA), Andrew joined the sugar team in November 2012. He has responsibility for the NFU Sugar accounting and reporting requirements.

He is involved in financial analysis and support relating to seed, transport, blocking and the price negotiation process. He has a keen interest in the world and European sugar markets and monitors prices and market developments
