Fuel card alert
Company car drivers with fuel cards will be dismayed at the
news that their taxable benefit is to rise by another 4.5% from April
2013 on top of the increase already programmed. If they have ‘gone
green’ and chosen a company car with emissions at the very
bottom of the old range (120g/km would be typical of a new-ish 2.0-litre
TDI), they have a benefit of 15% of list price this year, and if they
have free fuel for private motoring, another 15% of £20,200 as
notional income.
