Better agent contact at HMRC

Authorised agents are now able to use HM Revenue & Customs’ agent dedicated line on 0845 366 7855. Calls to this line will be:

• given priority and answered faster;

• put through to advisers with at least 12 months’ experience;

• transferred to technicians if necessary to ensure the query is answered wherever possible during the first call.

Agents can also email HMRC with details of changes to their clients’ names or addresses using the form to be found via a link at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/agents/change-of-circs.htm.
