The new team will be made up of 150 neurodivergent individuals with cognitive differences such as autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD, with the recruitment phased over the next three years with the launch of the firm’s first NCoE in the UK. The UK centre will launch with a founding team of six to 10 people with applications for jobs opening in August 2021.

The centre aims to help people apply their strengths to meet clients’ business needs in emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, automation, blockchain and cyber. Based on the experience of EY’s NCoE in the US, when compared to colleagues, neurodivergent employees excelled at innovation.

Globally, EY already has six NCoEs in the US, and centres in Canada, India, Poland and Spain, with further expansion plans into Europe, South America and Asia Pacific.
