EY promotes 714 people to partner

EY have promoted 714 people globally to partner reflecting the firms continued growth, with a record percentage coming from emerging markets and an increasing proportion being female

Nearly a third (35%) of all new partners have come from emerging markets.

Of the 714 people promoted 208 of these were female, including women across all geographies and service lines, demonstrating EY’s commitment to the advancement of women.

Geographically, America had the largest proportion of new partners with 287 promotions (40%). The EMEIA area followed with 275 (39%) and the Asia-Pacific totalled 122 (17%).

By service line, assurance continued to account for the largest number of partner promotions, with 264 (37%). It was followed by tax, with 200 new partners (28%); advisory, with 151 (21%); and transaction advisory Services, with 90 (13%).

Mark Weinberger, EY global chairman and CEO, said: ‘Our new partners have been focused on providing services to our clients, leading high performing teams and contributing to our purpose and ambition. Despite an uncertain economy, we are still investing and these promotions are a tribute to the contributions these new partners have made to EY and our future.’
