EY partner pay increases to £787k

EY reports fee income of £3.78bn as partner pay rises despite ‘challenging market’ and audit and tax revenue both up, balancing out losses in consultancy division

Total fee income hit £3.78bn for the financial year ending June 2025, up from £3.70bn, marking 2% revenue growth at EY, while profits before tax were £679m (£653m in FY24).

Partner pay increased to £787,000 for the financial year ending June 2025, up from £723,000, showing positive momentum after 5% cut to £723,000 in FY24, but this figure was still below partner distributable profit of £803,000 reported in FY21. There are also more partners than in the past at around 900 equity partners.

Overall performance across service lines was strong, apart from the tricky consulting division where revenue was down 6%, dropping below the £1bn mark to £983m. This comes on the back of ‘more difficult trading conditions’, EY said.
