FD Pay Survey 2008: Millionaires and counting

Company

More than half of the finance directors in the FTSE 100 earned over £1m last year. But the mega pay packets will surely end, at least for financial services FDs, reports Liz Fisher.

Our latest survey of the pay of the finance directors in the FTSE 100 companies suggests that more than half receive over £1m a year. An astonishing 49 of the 92 finance directors for which there is available information burst through the £1m barrier of salary, benefits and bonuses during the most recent financial year. This compares with 41 (out of 96 finance directors) last year and 34 (out of 97) in 2006.
