HaysMac has appointed Kiran Jain as transfer pricing director in the tax team, enhancing support for clients operating across international markets. Jain brings extensive experience in international tax and transfer pricing, having advised multinational businesses through growth, transformation and increasingly complex cross-border tax challenges. He joins from PwC where he was a senior manager, transfer pricing and global operating model for listed and inbound clients, where he originally trained. Prior to returning to practice, he spent five years as regional head, transfer pricing at Nissan’s European operations.

RSM has appointed Matt McPherson as a director, specialising in capital allowances, in the innovation and capital tax reliefs team. He brings over 15 years’ experience in capital allowances, working with global clients across multiple sectors including media, life sciences, healthcare and consumer products. Previously he was an associate director capital allowances at BDO, and prior worked for EY in the capital asset tax services practice, where he delivered on major capital projects across the UK. He is also a qualified quantity surveyor.

Saffery has hired four senior tax experts across its Edinburgh and Inverness offices.  Emma Siegel joins from Forvis Mazars where she was a corporate tax director in Edinburgh. She brings more than 10 years’ experience advising owner managed businesses and large corporate groups on UK corporation tax, including transactions, reorganisations and succession planning. Joining from Henderson Loggie, Susan Pattison is a corporate tax senior manager in Edinburgh. She advises charities and cultural organisations on corporate tax and cultural tax reliefs, and charitable trading, Gift Aid and tax-efficient structures. Patricia Bell also joins as a tax senior manager in Edinburgh in the personal tax team focusing on tax compliance for partnerships and their partners. She joins from Ashurst LLP, having spent seven years working as part of the inhouse tax team. Lois Tack joins as a corporate tax senior manager in Inverness. Most recently at Azets, she is specialised in R&D and Patent Box tax reliefs, and brings a wealth of experience in corporate tax matters.

Moore Global has appointed Vivienne Muir as chief executive officer, as the global accounting and advisory network enters its next phase of growth and international development. Muir steps up from her role as chief operating officer, where she oversaw rapid expansion of the network. Her focus will be on leading the group through a period of significant change, driven by technological transformation, evolving client expectations and growing demand for advisory services. EY-Parthenon has promoted Caroline Pover to equity partner in its financial restructuring practice in the UK and Ireland, based in the London office. She brings over 20 years’ experience advising both creditors and debtors across complex restructuring and turnaround situations. She specialises in financial advisory, stakeholder management, and the assessment of stressed and distressed businesses. Pover leads the UK higher education transformation and turnaround practice, supporting universities and their key financial and regulatory stakeholders. She originally joined EY as a graduate trainee in the restructuring team.

PKF Francis Clark strengthens restructuring team as Charles Bell qualifes as a licenced insolvency practitioner. Bristol-based Bell becomes the fifth insolvency practitioner at the firm, having passed both the corporate and personal Joint Insolvency Examination Board exams. He was also recently promoted to associate director.

MindBridge Analytics has appointed Mike Maziarz as chief product and marketing officer, and CTO Rachel Kirkham will take on an expanded remit covering AI, engineering and cloud operations to strengthen the leadership team. Maziarz will oversee product strategy and marketing across the enterprise and audit & assurance portfolios.
