‘We always said it was a BHAG…’ I was somewhere in eastern Germany, two hours from the nearest civilisation. This would be, I thought as we sped along the autobahn in a comfortable fast German car, a great opportunity to sit back and listen to Kraftwerk’s classic Autobahn.

I was pleased to be invited, or at least would have been mortally offended had I not been. And this particular offsite, bringing together the German and British parts of the division, was a step into the unknown for us all.
