Firms with women in senior roles outperformed companies run by men

Companies with more women in top positions performed better than male-run companies by almost 40% and managed to make more money during the 15 months of the covid-19 pandemic

The annual Women Count 2021 report conducted by Pipeline shows that companies with women making up at least half of the executive committee secured a profit margin of 21.2%, while FTSE 350 companies without female executives endured on average a decline in profits of 17.5%.

Even during the pandemic, the previous trend for companies with greater numbers of women on their executive committees to achieve higher profit margins has continued as it was found that businesses without any women on their executive committee suffered big losses.
