FRC advertises for non-executive directors

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has opened the recruitment process for three non-executive directors to join the board

The audit regulator has opened up the application process in conjunction with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) in preparation for its transition to Audit, Reporting and Governance Authority (ARGA) in 2024.

Candidates with backgrounds in institutional investment management, actuarial and local government audit are strongly encouraged to apply.

They will be expected to provide a ‘significant impact’ and ‘strategic oversight’ of the FRC as it prepares for the creation of ARGA, the new audit regulatory body which will have tougher scrutiny and monitoring powers.

According to the job brief, candidates will be appointed for three-year terms with the possibility of renewal for a second term.
