The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has confirmed that the final decision on imposition of penalties following the disciplinary hearing into Deloitte's audit of MG Rover has been postponed pending release of financial documents.
The tribunal has asked Maghsoud Einollahi, the ex-Deloitte partner at the centre of the hearing, to produce financial records for review by Friday 9 August.
Following further deliberations, the panel will announce any fines and penalties.
An FRC spokesperson said: 'The first time they are likely to reconvene to discuss the sanctions is the week of 12 August. They need some time to consider Mr Einollahi's financial situation.'
