Fashion firm French Connection Group has appointed Mazars as its auditor, replacing KPMG which has handled the audit since 1994
The company held a formal audit tender process, as a result of EU and UK requirements for auditor rotation. It has now announced Mazars will be its auditor for the financial year ending 31 January 2020, subject to shareholder approval at the annual general meeting to be held in May.
According to its 2019 annual report, French Connection paid KPMG £100,000 for work on the group’s accounts and a further £100,000 for the audit of subsidiaries. The fees payable to the auditors and their associates for non-audit services was £178,000.
