Provision for Post Office compensation ‘inappropriate’, says Fujitsu boss

Fujitsu’s European CEO refused to say how much money it will put towards redress scheme, saying it would be ‘inappropriate’ when questioned by MPs

During a Business and Trade Committee hearing about the Post Office Horizon accounting scandal, Paul Patterson, European CEO of Fujitsu, the software developer behind the debacle, was questioned by MPs on the Japanese IT giant’s plans to contribute to the £1.8bn compensation scheme.

Committee chair, Liam Bryne, kicked off the proceedings with questions about how much Fujitsu is planning to contribute to the redress scheme.
