Taxfix, a financial platform for digital tax filing based in Germany, plans to acquire TaxScouts, a UK-based online tax filing provider, giving the fintech a foothold in the UK, Spain and Estonia, in addition to its current operation in Germany and Italy.

TaxScouts was set up in 2018 by Positron Technologies, trading as TaxScouts, with seed round investment led by SpeedInvest. The business is based in London, and also has offices in Madrid and Tallinn.

This is the first UK acquisition for the German fintech business, which provides a range of tax filing services in four of the biggest European markets: Germany, UK, Spain and Italy.
