Going for Green

Getting on track with sustainability reporting is not easy, but help is at hand, finds Lesley Meall.

Rules are rules. So in January 2010 Tesla Motors was forced to pay the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) a $275,000 (£172,471) ‘civil administrative penalty’ because the luxury car company was late getting its Tag Hauer Tesla Roadster the (annual) Certificate of Conformity required by the US Clean Air Act. The fact that the roadster is a zero emissions, 100% electric car was neither here nor there. Rules are rules.
