The acquistion will give Azets access to digital accounting services for its client base, and the deal will see 45 staff at the Bolton based firm move to Azets. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Due to its strong brand awareness, Gorilla Accounting will retain its name as part of the deal and will trade under the Azets umbrella, continuing to focus on its 4,000 strong client base of self-employed contractors, freelancers, and individuals working through limited companies.
The firm was founded by Dan Fallows and Tim Murphy in 2015 and has rapidly grown to employ 45 people. The firm reported fee income of £2.9m in its last results announced in March 2022 with £1.01m in profit.
Azets said it had ‘identified Gorilla Accounting as a leading, digital-first accountancy firm, with experience and ambition. Both firms share strong alignment in values and focus on providing quality service’.
