Total fee income was £610,374,000 for year end December 2022, up from £543,222,000 in 2021, with a 5% rise in pre-tax profit to £121m (2021: £116m). Over the past 12 months, the firm saw steadier and more sustainable demand across all its service lines after a record period of growth in 2021. The latest results will keep Grant Thornton as the sixth largest accounting firm in the UK.

The firm reported more modest profitability growth compared to the record 37% profit hike in 2021, affected by inflationary pressures and a return to more normalised operating costs, which had fallen in previous years due to the pandemic.
