Top 30 firm Haysmacintyre is to convert from a partnership into a limited liability partnership (LLP), effective from 1 April 2019, in line with the majority of firms in the top ranking
The firm, which is ranked at 26 in the Accountancy UK firms’ league table for 2018, will continue to trade as Haysmacintyre. It reported a fee income of £28.8m last year, and has 36 partners.
Ian Cliffe, managing partner, Haysmacintyre, said: ‘As part of a wider strategic review of the firm, we are planning to convert to an LLP structure. This resonates with the expectations of our clients and is reflective of the approach taken by our peer firms.
‘We have informed our clients of the proposed change in status and they can expect business as usual throughout the process.’
Haysmacintyre’s move means that only one firm in the Accountancy league table top 30 remains a partnership, H W Fisher.
