HMRC has announced that it is currently unable to send or receive emails, which has impacted its business helpdesks and taxpayer submissions, due to a network issue which is affecting a number of organisations in the UK
The tax authority is currently experiencing an ongoing issue with email preventing communication both in and out.
HMRC has apologised for the problem and has said it is urgently working for a quick resolution.
In a statement HMRC said: ‘We are aware of a wider external network issue that is affecting a number of organisations in the UK, including HMRC.
‘We are working closely with our supplier to fix it as quickly as possible.’
